The Police Administration activity provides support for all Police divisions and bureaus and serves as a liaison with both the District Attorney's Office and the court system. The department provides records management, evidence security and the upkeep and maintenance of the department's equipment. Our sworn staff assures courteous and competent service to the public. It provides technical and law enforcement information to both the public and the Department. It is also responsible for the management of the City's vehicle abatement program, addressing animal control issues, issuing citations for animal control violations and the transport of animals to the Merced County Animal Shelter.

Police Operations creates and maintains security in the community and the department works with the citizens of Dos Palos to provide the best public safety service possible; to provide a 24/7 patrol for the community and respond to all calls for service, resolve civil disputes and identify potential problems serious in nature. Police Operations goals include enforcing state, traffic, and local laws and ordinances in a fair and courteous manner and providing community relations for crime prevention and crime reduction.
